Pack Bike Ride July 25 9am

posted Jul 13, 2015, 9:47 AM by Pack 841 Webmaster   [ updated Jul 18, 2015, 6:34 AM ]
Our Pack Bike Ride will be Saturday, July 25, 9am at the Hidden Mesa Open Space.  It's easy to find ... traveling south on Parker Road, the park is about 1 mile south of  Bayou Gulch Rd. just passed the Cobblestone Ranch neighborhood entrance.  Park in the lot and then meet at 9AM sharp at the picnic shelter for a safety briefing.  The trail is mostly compact dirt with areas of soft dirt and sand so fat tire bikes are best: mountain bikes, hybrids, BMX, kids fat tire bikes.  Road bikes with skinny tires and kids on training wheels will likely have a hard time with the dirt trail.  The Cherry Creek trail is paved and connects at the park as an alternate option for parents and boys.

Bring your bikes, helmets, closed toe shoes, water, sunscreen, 1st Aid kit, and an easy snack to keep those legs energized.  The ride will follow the Hidden Mesa Open Space Trail and turn around before getting to the climb up to the Mesa.   The ride is approximately 5 miles roundtrip.  Riders will arrive back at the picnic shelter around 10:30 or so.

Hope to see everyone there!   Contact Jim Snakard if you have questions  303-748-4184 or cubmaster@pack841.com
